Again, I say like it says in Proverbs 19:20 “Hear counsel and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter-end.” One nurse that came out to check on my mother sat me down and had a talk with me about taking care of myself. You see I took care of my mother for six year all by myself. Now my daughter helps me and it is a blessing. Before that, it was me alone with only God’s help. He gave me strength to do it but I let myself go. When my daughter came to help me, I was in a pretty bad shape physically and emotionally. I had pulled my back out, pulled on my rib cage lifting her and even more. I was confined to the house all the time. So remember, take care of yourself so you can take care of others. I now wish I had done better. So take good advice from another caregiver.
